Eden Lake was maddeningly, nail-biting great! The most horrific example of peer-pressure and bullying i've ever seen in my life!

Steve (Michael Fassbender) is gorgeous (with a fantastic ass!) and a thoroughly likable character. intending to propose to his gf Jenny (Kelly Reilly) who is damn annoying (AT FIRST!).
Seriously, though Brett (Jack O'Connell) is scary as fuck!
Remind me never to go into a forest in England.
he was brilliant, Michael Myers, Freddy Kreuger frightening. First time i ever saw a kid that scared me!
that scene where they were torturing Steve was FUCKED UP!!
i kept thinking, ' Goddamnit! there's like 5 of you and 1 of him! Someone knock Brett out or stab him or something!'
i was glad that Adam that little indian kid got burned to a crisp! Stupid, weak coward! Conversely, I'm sorry Steve died....Jenny that stupid twat kept interrupting him everytime he was going to propose!!sigh...but not matter, Steve looked quite realistically dead....damn!! they jacked him up!!
One thing that got me kinda annoyed was how Jenny and Steve were making the loudest noise they could and trying to be surreptitious at the same time!! how the fuck can u get away in silence if u crash through the forest like clumsy apes, breathing like a hurricane, huffing and puffing like the big bad wolf and screaming like fucking banshees!! (Like when a spike went through Jenny's foot!.....where the hell did a spike come from? do they grow in the forest?!o.O)
ok i had little peeves abt. the movie.....
mainly how Jenny was annoying at first, how loud they were and why someone didn't fuck Brett up!
But those are minor details in comparison to how utterly crazy Eden Lake was!!
I know i've said it before, but............that fucker is SCA-REY!!
He definitely has daddy issues. his father exerts the same kind of control over his friends like Brett does over the group. i could see the same fearful expressions on the faces of some of the adult men when Brett'd dad bullied them, mirroring that of the scared expressions on the boys' faces when Brett bullied them. Like father, like son...
I was really glad that Jenny lost it and killed 2 of those fucked up kids.
But DAMN!! i knew she wouldn't get out. all great horror movies end on a sour note. it sucks when the heroine dies....but it is actually more realistic. i mean we all want to be optimistic and cheer when she survives but this is what sets apart good horrors from great horror flicks.
At first i was wondering if i should really class Eden Lake in the horror category but Brett is a villain for the ages.....horrific ages!!
