HEATHERS

In between studying today...i watched Heathers......it was pretty kooky. The teenage angst portrayed in the film was done with enough witty dialogue and panache for it not to come off campy.

I could see this movie having a cult following. Infact, i think it does!

I could more understand Heathers becoming a cult favourite than the fucking Breakfast Club.

I think i would say that this is the dark version to the Breakfast Club.
There was young star power coming out of the movie's ears!
Young Winona Ryder, Christian Slater, Shannon Doherty and Patrick Labyorteaux (that dude who played Bud on JAG. He had a pretty awesome body in this movie!)

The dialogue was interesting and the characters had just enough shallowness and callousness to keep me watching.
Christian Slater makes for a good psycho.
Not to mention Winona Ryder's diary entries.......they made me LOL...

E.G - " No one could stop J.D. Not the FBI, not the CIA, not the PTA!!"

nice... *grins*

Interesting fact about HEATHERS:
The different colours the 4 main female characters and the male lead dress in, denote their characters.

Heather #1= red = her power, her leadership of Westerberg and her sexual appeal.

Heather #2= green = the envy she felt for Heather Chandler (she assumes the red when Heather #1 kicks the bucket)

Heather #3= yellow = her cowardice

Veronica = blue = her misery at her current situation

J.D = black = his sinister nature

All in all i'd say this movie made it on the list of my favourite watchable classic cult movies of all time.
